Type of Information we collect

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website (www.rocklandunitedfc.uk) or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and data you store on our website; for example, filling out a contact us form. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); comments, feedback, and personal profile.

How do we collect information?

When you conduct a data entry section on our website or signing on with the club, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address, contact number (mobile or landline or both) and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

Why do we collect such personal information?

  • We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
  • To provide and operate the Services of running a football club in accordance to the Norfolk County FA, Central & South Norfolk League and Norfolk Women’s and Girls League;
  • To be able to contact our Visitors and Members with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages as well as hold match statistics of the players/individuals; 
  • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-Personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 
  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How do we store, use, share and disclose our website visitors’ and members’ personal information?

Our club website is hosted on the WordPress platform. WordPress provides us with the online platform that allows us to operate and show services to you. Your data may be stored through WordPress’s data storage, databases and the general WordPress plugins/applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall and this is managed by web designer TCQC. 

Currently there is no store/online shop  set-up or in operation for www.rocklandunitedfc.uk as of 23/06/2022 however we do have kit shops on external sites [Norfolk Football and 4sports].

How do we communicate with our site visitors and members?

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires or contact forms filled in and submitted to us, to send updates about our club, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, email and postal mail.

How do we use cookies and other tracking tools?

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a site visitor’s browser, usually used to keep track of their movements and actions on a site.

How can visitors and RUFC site members withdraw their consent?

If you don’t want us to process your data anymore, please contact our current club secretary through email at rocklandutd@gmail.com

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. 

How Photos and Videos are collected

We have a great collection of photos and videos that we share and store on our social media pages as well as website on a regular basis. Albums on our Facebook page and photos and videos archived on our website have all been granted permission to share for anyone to see. If someone is not happy for their photo or video footage of them to be shared on any of our social media platforms, including website, then they are instructed to contact the relevant Rockland Utd F.C. parties so that further action can be taken for this; we are more than happy to oblige with any requests. 

Signing on to RUFC

When signing on for Rockland United Football Club, personal information will be stored by our club secretary throughout the season but will not be passed on to any individuals other than those involved in Norfolk County FA, Central & South Norfolk League and/or Norfolk Women’s and Girls League. Signing on fees collected in hand are handed to our club treasurer and any direct debit transactions are sent directly to our Rockland Utd bank account.
